Jordan has been training and performing since the age of three. At a young age he learned that as an instructor, he could inspire others about dance. He trained all over North America, as well as with the prestigious Royal Winnipeg Ballet. With a vast background in a variety of genres including Tap and Ballroom, he aspires to push the boundaries of dance as a choreographer, fusing together his acquired vocabulary to create something refreshingly unfamiliar.
At fifteen Jordan booked his first professional job and knew this was the life for him. Fresh out of high school, he kicked off his career as a dancer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. After a few years at sea, Jordan traded in his sea legs and began dancing whenever possible. He’s had the opportunity to perform across Canada, the US, and overseas to China. Jordan’s passion for dance expands beyond performance. In the past few years he has established himself as a choreographer and is known for his ‘innovative’ and ‘unique’ creations. He also discovered a deep interest in musical theatre and since then has gone on to choreograph the musical productions of CATS, Oliver, Grease, Cabaret, A Chorus Line, All Shook Up, and more.
One of Jordan’s most exciting professional jobs to date was working with VANOC helping create, bring to life, and perform as Quatchi – the 2010 Olympic mascot. He also performed in and took on the role as Performance Director for the 2010 Paralympic Opening & Closing Ceremonies in Vancouver BC. Another highlight involved flying high above thousands as a Zip-lining Performer in “Ignite The Dream” over Robson Square during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
In 2008 he became a BCRPA certified fitness instructor and took the fitness world by storm with his dance-based cardio classes; Dance Fit Cardio. Most recently Jordan became a member and new owner of Taptastic Productions, a Vancouver based Production Company that specializes in tap-dancing entertainment, creating high-energy shows for all ages. Above all else, he is happy to share his love and passion for the art of dance with whoever will listen
