Xtreme Performing Arts is Abbotsford’s leading before and after school daycare program, combining dance and fine arts with childcare. Our program is the perfect combination for families that need before and after school childcare, and also want their children to experience after school activities such as dance.
Transportation
We do before school drop-off and after school pickup every day in our Xtreme Performing Arts buses. We have two buses that are branded with our logo and our one “pink bus” has become a favourite at the schools we service. We are one of Abbotsford’s only licensed childcare centres that offers a dance and fine arts program, as well as school drop-off and pickup. One of the biggest stress factors for working parents can be getting their children to and from school, and with our Abbotsford Before and After School Daycare program, we handle that for you!
Dance Classes
Xtreme Performing Arts is a division of Xtreme Talent Dance Company, and we are very fortunate to have full access to world class dance instructors, and a state of the art facility. We offer them varying styles, from jazz, to hip hop, and even ballet and stage. This is another way that we are separating ourselves from other daycare, and childcare services in Abbotsford, by always having something for the kids to do to keep busy. Whether it’s an arts and craft time or reading or storytelling, or participating in dance classes, there is always something for the children to do to occupy themselves.
We are one of Abbotsford’s only licensed before and after school childcare programs that combines daycare with fine arts. We do school pick up and drop off in our pink Xtreme Performing Arts bus, and we offer over 10 hours of available dance and art classes for the children, all included in the cost of care. We are a fully licensed facility and all our staff have been certified and background checked, so you can feel confident knowing that your child will be getting the best care available.
We occupy an 8,000 square foot facility with large play areas, a dedicated homework room, space for arts and crafts and more. We also include Pro-D days, as well as Christmas break, Spring break, and Summer holiday programs so that we have you and your family covered all year long.

The Xtreme Performing Arts before and after school Abbotsford Daycare program is a cutting edge program that combines daycare with dance and fine arts, and also provides transportation for the children, to and from school. Linda Merrick, is the ECE Certified, Director of the Xtreme Performing Arts daycare program, and she has run daycares for over 20 years, and she was always faced with the same issues from parents. Either they couldn’t get their kids from school to daycare, or once they were there, they had no way of going out and doing activities. This is why, when Maureen and Linda partnered to make Xtreme Performing Arts, in 2015, we went out and bought our own 24-passenger bus and had it wrapped in the company logos, to make it easily recognizable, wherever they go. Then we added a second bus a year later as we continued to grow. The buses are a huge hit with the kids, as they love getting picked up from school in them, or going on local field trips on Pro-D days, and during the summer, when we operate as a full-time daycare. By having our own buses, we do not need to rely on any public, or school board transportation to get your kids, to and from school. The bus is in operation every day so that you can rest assured that your children are receiving the best care and attention.
After school, when the children are picked up and brought back to the studio, they enjoy snack time, and then they get to take part in dance classes with the other Xtreme Performing Arts kids. We offer them varying styles, from jazz, to hip hop, and even ballet and stage. This is another way that we are separating ourselves from other daycare, and childcare services in Abbotsford, by always having something for the kids to do to keep busy. Whether it’s an arts and craft time with Linda, or reading or storytelling, or participating in dance classes, there is always something for the children to do to occupy themselves.
Another issue that Maureen has had, as a dance studio owner for over 10 years, is that some parents have no way to get their kids to dance from daycare every day, so they have had to withdraw, or curtail their kid’s dance classes. Now that the daycare is combined with dance classes, this is no longer an issue for Xtreme Performing Arts kids. In today’s times, the reality for most families is that both parents must work, or choose to work, in order to provide the life they want for their families. Through Xtreme Performing Arts, Linda and Maureen are making things as simple as possible for families that need Abbotsford daycare services, and also want to participate in dance and fine arts.
Important Things To Know
- Dance classes are a mandatory component of our program.
- The children will perform in Xtreme Talent’s Winter & Year-end Shows.
- The dance classes are included in the monthly cost, however, there will be additional fees for costumes, props, and competition fees (if applicable).
- Fees are due on the first of each month and repeated late payments may result in your child being removed from the program.
- If your cost is subsidized, you are still responsible for the full amount being paid on time and when the subsidy comes we will put it against your next month’s balance.
