Carol Hart has been producing outstanding excellence in dance since founding Dance in Motion in 1986 and is very proud of her student’s achievements in competitions, examinations and performances. She has been teaching for 34yrs in the disciplines of Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap & Musical Theatre. Carol is a registered teacher & CBTS Supervisor with the Royal Academy of Dance, an associate member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (Ballet) and also an Associate Member of The British Association of Teachers of Dance (Ballet & Stage). She has been successfully entering students into RAD examinations for 20yrs with the majority of students receiving the Academy’s highest award of Distinction.
Carol has appeared in numerous musicals in the famous Glasgow Kings & Pavilion Theatres such as “Oklahoma, Hello Dolly, Fiddler On The Roof, and South Pacific”, to name a few. She also appeared regularly with Radio Clyde Glasgow, with celebrities such as Richard Park, Dougie Donnolly & Tiger Tim Stevens. Locally Carol has choreographed productions for Abbotsford Senior Secondary’s “Oklahoma” for the opening of the Abbey Arts Centre” and for the Fraser Valley Theatre Guild. Carol’s main teaching objective is to help every student work to the best of their ability. She places emphasis on a strong ballet foundation, which is often overlooked, in order that the dancer has a strong base to develop their technique in all dance genres. Performance, musicality and a positive worthwhile learning environment is also stressed throughout every lesson.
